School opening hours

The school gates open at 8:15.

 

School begins for Reception - Year 6 at 8:40am (official start time) - school doors open at 8:25 allowing for a soft start

School begins for Playgroup, Pre-Nursery and Nursery at 8:40am

School finishes for Playgroup, Pre-Nursery and Nursery at 3.30pm

School finishes for Year 1 and Year 2 at 3.45pm

School finshes for Year 3 - Year 6 at 4:00pm

 

Soft Start for Reception to Year 6 

Beginning of the Day

Gates open at 8:15am and children can make their way into their classrooms anytime from 8:25 – 8.40. 8.40am is the official start of school with registration and tefilla.  Children arriving between 8.25am and 8.40am will be able to access a range of early morning activities in their classroom such as spelling, handwriting, problem solving, big questions, reading etc as well as having time to talk to their classroom adults informally.  Children will also have time to respond to feedback on learning.   As children arrive in the classroom during soft start they will join in with these activities.   Soft start is not a lesson and there is no formal teaching - the atmosphere is informal and will set the children up really well for the day ahead.  

The gate will close at 8.43am. 

 

Start for Playgroup, Pre-Nursery and Nursery

For all EYFS classes - Playgroup, Pre-Nursery and Nursery the start time is 8.40am and the staff will greet the children outside and take them inside.  Please be in touch with your child's teacher regarding settling in or for any other questions our Head of EYFS - Morah Madeline Fraser madeline.fraser@nrps.co.uk
