Special Programmes

Below are some of the new exciting programmes that Nancy Reuben will be participating in during the school year 2017/2018.  These programmes not only enhance the children's knowledge and understanding of the world in which they live, but also develops our Middot Curriculum and supports our British Values Curriculum.

Aims of the Tzedek Twinning programme:

  • To develop a self-awareness as global citizens and explore the big issues of our world;
  • To develop a positive attitude to difference by communicating with children who have different cultural and religious perspectives; and
  • To put into practice the value of b’zelem Elohim – of respecting all human beings.

Mrs Cohen our Deputy Head and Year 4 teacher who has been involved with this programme in her previous school, has arranged for Year 4 children to participate in the Tzedek Primary School Twinning Programme.  Further details about Tzedek's programme can be found here. http://tzedek.org.uk/portfolio/primary-school-twinning/

Year 4 will be commencing the Tzedek Twinning Programme in November 2017.

JOY  - Joining Old and Young

Mipnei Seiva Takum V'Hadrta Pnei Zaken   -  You shall rise before the aged and show honour to the elder      Vayikra (Leviticus 19:32)

We are delighted to announce that our Kindergarten Class have been invited to join the JOY programme from Autumn 2017.   JOY is a special inter generational programme Joining Old and Young which brings together older members and children from our Kindergarten.

Founded by Jenny Kossow, the programme brings together those at either end of the age spectrum for 45 minutes of playing, singing, talking and learning with and from each other.

Nancy Reuben will be partnering with the Holocaust Survivors Centre in Hendon and our Kindergarten children will be visiting there during the school year 2017/18.

The programme teaches that whatever age you are, you are never too young or too old to learn and teach each other to bring about so much joy.

The video below by Jenny Kossow, the founder of the JOY programme provides more information.  Once the programme is up and running, we will update this page with NRPS specific information.
